Valium Cures Severe Autism?

In a study, Valium increases sound-touch integration in autistic mouse model. When a sound and a touch occurred at the same time, the mouse model's brain reacts differently than the controls' brains.

Valium reverses deficits in sensory integration in autistic mouse model, according to 2012 research.

"I think it will generalize into something important about how the autistic brain integrates internal and external information," says lead investigator, Takao Hensch, professor of neurology at Harvard University.
