Drinking Bleach to Cure Autism?

Are parents of children with autism so desperate that they are resorting to bleach for curing their condition?

The FDA has released a consumer update instructing the public to stop drinking bleach that is sold under names such as Miracle and Master Mineral Solution, MMS, water purification, Solutions, or Miracle Mineral Supplement. "Sodium chlorite and chlorine dioxide are not meant to be swallowed by people," wrote the FDA. Parents are obviously falling prey to outrageous claims from merchants promoting their miracle products, claiming they can treat everything from cancer, HIV, Hepatitis, to autism. Don't believe these brazen lies!

Peer Reviewed Proof Whatsoever that Vaccines Cause Autism

After a decade of serious research and many large scale studies in several countries, the scientific and medical communities, with their emphasis on peer review, are unanimous in their finding no solid evidence supporting a link between vaccines and autism. The evidence at hand indicates that vaccinations are not causing autism, don't contribute as the cause of autism, and have no absolute future role as the trigger of autism. More proof: in March of 2005, Japanese scientists reported that after having withdrawn the MMR vaccination for a small part of the population, cases of autism had not fallen, but rather, increased for that segment. Does Trump Think Vaccines Cause Autism?

On over 20 occasions President Donald Trump has tweeted about there existing a connection between autism and vaccines, which governmental leading public health institute experts deny completely. In addition, he repeated the claim during a Republican primary debate, which was a remark the Autistic Self Advocacy Network dismissed immediately as fake. Now, after being president years later, President Trump is singing an entirely different tune, by telling reporters: "They have to get the shots. The vaccinations are so important. This is really going around now. They have to get their shots." What happened to Donald Trump?  As soon as he became president, as soon as he entered the White House, he transformed dramatically, becoming part of that rigid governmental voice that flatly denies there's a link between autism and vaccines. Clearly there are powers way beyond President Trump in the White House that are forcing him to change his opinion in a drastic 360-degree mann...

These Fidget Spinners Will Cure Your Autism

A child usually holds the toy's bearing between his index finger and thumb while it spins without batteries. These toys have become highly popular and are the number one selling toy at Amazon. Marketers are claiming fidget spinners successfully manage disabilities. The toy does allow kids to play during breaks and provides them with stimulation and mental breaks on account of boring, mindless tasks. One special education teacher reports buying a fidget spinner for a student with "severe ADHD and behavioral problems." For whatever reason, the student became quiet, active in class, and attentive. Lovastatin Cures Autism?

The effects of Lovastatin, according to a new study, suggests the drug is a promising treatment for anyone with autism and fragile X syndrome. The syndrome seemed to be a major cause of  "inherited intellectual disability"; one in three individuals with fragile X have also autism. The study goes on to add that the drug can help ease fragile X symptoms. Lovastatin has demonstrated to prevent seizures in mouse models of the condition. And coupled with an antibiotic, the drug could ease social withdrawal as well as hyperactivity in individuals with fragile X. The new study also suggests the drug eases cognitive issues and the effects are permanent. Peter Kind, lead researcher and professor of developmental neuroscience at the University of Edinburgh in Scotland, says: "You may not have to treat throughout life, if you can rescue during development;, then you may be able to remove the drug." Can Eugenics Cure Autism?

Eugenic can be considered as a social movement devoted to enhancing the quality of lives via the science of heredity. Nazi Germany was notoriously drawn to Eugenics; its attraction was fueled by a fast growing anxiety in respect to what was frequently called the "menace of the feebleminded," the apprehension that intellectually less gifted was reproducing much faster than their smarter counterparts. The number of kids sent to residential institutions flourished around this period, and with cognitively challenged children being institutionalized with just one formal examination, it's very possible several would be diagnosed as having autism today. The financial and social burden linked with the growth of institutionalization caused people to demand more absolute solutions in the shape of sterilization in the US, and, the systematic and cruel elimination of "lives not worth living" in Nazi Germany via forced euthanasia. Is this a cure for autism? No One Should...

Causes of Autism Epigenetics Genetics Familial Risk Factors

The current consensus among most researchers is that genetics and environmental factors are playing a major role. However, finding a heritable connection is highly difficult because there are many genotypic variations that may underlie autism. To enhance the process in pinpointing genes contributing to the etiology of autism, scientists are expanding their research by including epigenetics. One specific gene, SETD, is in charge of neurodevelopment and associated behaviors. The gene has been identified in other studies in influencing early development; thus, the gene has become a top candidate for ASD. Scientists might have verified SETD's role in ASD by using a unique mouse model in a recent study. They have documented the gene driving epigenetically unusual neurodevelopment that leads to behavioral deficits commonly seen in ASD. Findings are published in Translational Psychiatry, in its January issue. No One Should Feel Forced To Live A Lifetime With Autism  Are You ...
